COURT DEFYING ACTIONS OF PWMSA?
Mr Dries Joubert, Chairperson of TAU SA North, expressed his concern with the blatant lies contained in the media statement of the so called Progressive Women’s Movement of South Africa (PWMSA).
COURT DEFYING ACTIONS
During the Council meeting of the Makhado municipality which was held on Thursday 29 March 2007, the Speaker, Cllr. Joan Hoorzuk, announced that a picket will be held at Waterpoort on Sunday 1 April 2007. A media statement by die PWMSA, filled with blatant lies was released on 29th March 2007. No proof was given of any of the wild allegation in the media statement.
JUDGEMENT FROM THE LAND CLAIMS COURT IS CLEAR
In the case AIFHELI SAMUEL TSHIVHULA VS KOEDOESPAN BOERDERY CC AND RJ VENTER, case number LCC15/07 Judge President FC Bam in her judgement, dismissed the application to bury the applicant’s elderly mother on the farm near Waterpoort. The applicant’s defence was unable to prove that the deceased stayed on the farm at the time of her death. No mentioned was made of any eviction, abuse or any suffering at the hands of ‘non-progressive, abusive farmer’. Surely the court would take note of any atrocities if it was the truth and could be proved in a open court of law?
ENCOURAGE A PICKET?
Did this movement encouraging a picket in defiance of Judge Bam’s judgement? Is this movement above the law and does this movement feels they are better equip to decide the truth?
TRY FREEDOM FIGHTER TACTICS IF EVERY THING ELSE FAILS?
Is this organisation just another dubious NGO used as a smoke screen for some or other hidden agenda? Surely, if the well being of farm workers were at stake, blatant lies would not be necessary? These outdated freedom fighter tactics surely do nothing to improve the well being of farm dwellers it shows how little regard for the constitution and the South African legal system. And for sure no regard for the plain truth.
SAPS STATION COMMANDER RELEASED OF DUTIES
Mr. Joubert asked reasons for this demand and what the Station Commander did wrong. TAU SA North would like to support the PWMSA if adequate proof is provide that the Station Commander broke the law or neglect his duties.
Mr. Joubert calls upon the PWMSA to provide proof of the wild allegation made in the statement.
